Doctor of Law, Professor, and former head of the 'House of Justice', Eka has held various significant roles throughout her career. From 2016 to 2018, she served as the Chairperson of the Legal Issues Committee in the Parliament of Georgia. Additionally, from 2012 to 2020, she was a member of Parliament, during which time she chaired the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee from 2012 to 2016. Since 2015, Eka has been a full member of the Committee of Legal Affairs and Human Rights in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. She also served as an associated professor at Caucasus University for several years. Eka has authored numerous publications, including a „Desk book for Parliament“, a monograph on the“ Right to a Fair Trial“ , and a study on „Criminological and Criminal Analysis of Irregular Migration in Georgia".
