Hanna Debska (PhD. in Law and Ph.D. in Sociology) is an assistant professor of law in Cracow, Poland. She conducts empirical research in the sociology of law in the approach of Pierre Bourdieu’s theory and geometric data analysis. 

Her research interests are constitutionalism and the Constitutional Court in Poland: the process of social legitimization and delegitimization, autonomy and heteronomy, relationships to politics and other social fields, and symbolic power of law. She has been awarded several times for the best law doctoral thesis and other scientific achievements (Foundation for Polish Science, National Scientific Center, Ronald, and Eileen Weiser Professional Development Award). 

She gained research experience in Germany (Bonn University), France (EHESS Paris, Paris-Saclay, University of Strasbourg), and the USA (Brown University). She is the head of the research team on the Constitutional Court in Poland from a sociological perspective.
