She was a member of the United States Court of Appeals for nine circuits and a lecturer in ethics and judicial discipline with extensive judicial, managerial and associational experience in the US. In September 2021, she was one of eight international experts appointed by international donors to serve on a six-member commission (three local, three international) to assess candidates for the judicial qualification commission in Ukraine. As a USAID expert, she provided advice on multiple projects to reform the judicial system in Georgia, conducting training courses, proposing measures to strengthen the disciplinary system, but also to amend the legislation on liability and disciplinary procedures.
