Ongoing judicial reforms in Moldova on the way to EU integration

On May 4 the online discussion was conducted: Ongoing judicial reforms in Moldova on the way to EU integration. The event was organized by the Group of Independent Lawyers (GIL), Democracy index – Georgia (DIG) and International Network of Judicial Reformers (INJR), with the support of the USAID Rule of Law Program.
The representatives from Moldova discussed such important issues as: Key judicial reforms and their progress, Full-vetting initiative, Specialized anticorruption Court initiative, Resistance and Constitutionality battles, Role of the Venice Commission and European Comission, The impact of judicial reforms on the justice system and society, An insider’s perspective on the evaluation procedure (pre-vetting), Civil society contribution to judicial reforms and EU accession through active oversight and independent alternative reporting.
